Cheesemonger – Glasgow (Permanent, 40 hours a week)

Mellis Cheese is an Edinburgh-based artisan business renowned for its premium cheeses, charcuterie, sundries, and alcohol. With five retail shops across Scotland, a robust restaurant supply chain, and monthly exports to Europe, we are dedicated to supporting local and international farmers and artisans.

We are looking for a new full-time cheesemonger to join our friendly Glasgow team. If you’re enthusiastic about food and beverage with a passion for customer service we would love to hear from you.

As a Cheesemonger your responsibilities will include:

• Cutting and wrapping cheese
• Providing a premium service to our loyal customers assisting with product recommendations and pairings
• Tasting, checking and overall cheese care
• General cleaning to ensure shop standards are maintained

A few things we ask of you:

• Enthusiasm for the world of F&B and to learn about cheese (no previous knowledge is required, however it is an advantage)
• Flexible availability across days/hours a week – please discuss your availability further with the hiring manager during interview
• Previous retail and/or hospitality experience is desirable
• An energy and flair for providing exceptional customer service
• A self-starter and team player you’ll enjoy working as part of a small team
• Proof of right to live and work in the UK
