Join us on Thursday the 7th of August at 6:30 pm for a special cheese and wine tasting, featuring Ned Palmer, author of Sunday Times bestseller A Cheesemonger’s History of the British Isles (2019), A Cheesemonger’s Tour de France (2024), and his latest addition, A Cheesemonger’s Compendium to British and Irish Cheese. With over 25 years of experience in the artisan cheese industry, beginning as a cheesemonger in London’s Borough Market, Ned will use his expertise and stories from his years of travels to lead a unique and interesting tasting, in addition to a guided wine pairing thoughtfully curated by the Mellis team.
Guests will enjoy a tasting of six cheeses and three wines with additional accompaniments, and will have the opportunity to purchase any of their favourites at a discount in the shop after the tasting.
This tasting will be held in the Cheese Lounge in the back of our shop at 330 Morningside Road. Please note that you will be asked for your delivery information at checkout, because we will send tickets out for this event.
