Located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. This winery sits on clay-calcareous soils on a southern facing hilltop 1600 meters above sea level, and it began just 35 years ago with the replanting of the whole vineyard.
The vineyard was part of a ten year research project to determine the site’s viticulture characteristics. It was then divided into individual blocks to create “micro-terroirs” to ensure optimum conditions were available for specific grape varieties.
Grape(s): Sangiovese, Merlot and Malvasia NeraLocation: Italy, TuscanyOrganic/Natural: Notes: Mint, anise and tobacco are present with a dark and powerful fruit flavour. Tannins are velvety and give the wine and excellent finish.
