Product Description

Pinotage is the first of the reds to ripen in SA, however the sweet grapes attract flocks of birds, and forces producers to pick early and use the grapes in Rose. It wasn’t until Pieter decided to throw huge nets over the vines, were they able to fully ripen the Pinotage grapes.  Grape(s): Pinotage  Location: South Africa, Swartland  Notes: Aged in barrel for 24 months resulting in a heavy and full expression, with pronounced aromas of pepper, tobacco, char, liquorice and cocoa.
