Where we ship
We deliver across the UK mainland, the Highlands and Islands, and Northern Ireland. We are unable to send orders outside the UK at this time.
Delivery days & charges
- Edinburgh (EH1–EH22): our own van, Monday to Saturday. Free over £50, £9.50 under.
- UK mainland: courier, Tuesday to Friday. Free over £50, £9.50 under.
- Highlands & Islands: courier, Tuesday to Friday. Free over £50, £12.50 under.
- Northern Ireland: courier, Tuesday to Friday. Free over £50, £9.50 under.
When you place your order we ask for a preferred delivery date and do our best to fulfil it accurately. We almost always dispatch on time, but are occasionally subject to delays from third-party couriers, so your order may arrive within a couple of days either side of your requested date. We always prepare your cheese to survive a few days in transit. Once an order is placed we're unable to amend the delivery date.
Couriers & tracking
Mainland UK orders ship with APC, Highlands and Islands with Parcelforce, and Northern Ireland with DPD. Please include your email address and mobile number with your order — the courier sends tracking by text or email. If you don't receive tracking, email enquiries@mellischeese.co.uk.
Physical gift cards are posted separately with Royal Mail on a first-class, signed-for service.
Collection
Collection is free from our four pickup points — the Maturing Rooms in Edinburgh (Mon–Fri, 12pm–5pm), Glasgow (Wed & Sat), St Andrews (Tue & Fri) and London (Mon–Fri). Choose Collection on the cart page and pick a location and date; orders are ready from 12pm on your chosen day.
Packaging
All our cheese is hand-cut the day before dispatch, wrapped carefully in our wax paper, and packed with your other items in a Mellis branded cardboard box, cushioned with recycled material and kept cool with food-safe ice packs.
Damaged or missed deliveries
If your order arrives damaged or doesn't arrive within a few days of your requested date, email enquiries@mellischeese.co.uk with your order number and we'll put it right.
